Ways to stay active during the holidays [VIDEO]

Many travel physical therapists and nursing professionals are heading back home for the holidays. While it’s a great time to see friends and family, maintaining a consistent workout schedule can be rather tricky.

To stay active during this busy season, ask to use your relative’s gym as a guest. Usually workout facilities allow members to bring a certain number of guests each month, so pick a day to hit the gym with your parents, cousins or other loved ones.

Whether or not you know anyone who belongs to a gym, be sure to pack a jump rope and resistance band, which can fit easily into luggage.

Travel PT and travel nursing specialists can also stick to the essential home exercises such as crunches, push-ups, yoga or pull-ups, if a bar is available.
