With the falling of the leaves, the mix of hot and cold weather, and aroma of autumn throughout the air, there are many amazing locations to spend your September through November. Once September approaches, many spend time going to pumpkin patches, attending sports events, going apple-picking, and so much more.

Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston, SC is filled with many opportunities to fully celebrate the autumn season. Filled with cobblestone walkways, horse-drawn carriages, and centuries-old mansions, spend time enjoying this quaint town. Especially closer to Halloween, this is a prime location to get a little spooky. If old walkways and buildings are not your cup of tea, no worries. Charleston is filled with many innovative restaurants, art galleries, and historic landmarks. It also has several beach towns that are filled with entertainment night in and night out.
Asheville, North Carolina
In this quaint mountain town, the opportunities are endless for a diverse and unique experience. Options for travelers here include vibrant art scenes, beautiful sights, and Southern traditions. It is also where multiple colleges are located to provide that “college town” feel during football season. Many people visit the Biltmore Estate, the historic house museum originally built for George Washington Vanderbilt. Asheville also homes various breweries throughout the town to truly provide a taste of the culture and tradition.
Boston, Massachusetts
It is no secret that Boston, MA is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and fall only magnifies the views. Santa Fe, New Mexico
When people begin to think about places to spend their fall, Santa Fe may not be the first location that comes to mind. However, there are few places throughout the U.S. that can offer an experience that it can as the leaves change colors. This is a very culture-based location that is filled with Gothic cathedrals, various ways to experience the arts, Spanish–influenced architecture, and beautiful views of the great outdoors. For those history heads out there, there is no shortage of museums to experience as well. It is home to the Museum of International Folk Art, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, and its own opera.
Dallas – Fort Worth, Texas
If you are looking for the full ‘Texas’ experience this coming fall, look no further than the Dallas area. From the Dallas Cowboys beginning their season to the Sixth Floor Museum, there is something here for every type of person. For children, activities available include the Fort Worth Zoo and the Dallas World Aquarium. Dallas is filled with the Texas culture of huge hats, huge horns, arts, huge events, and everything else you would expect.
