Aureus Medical is happy to announce its Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!
James “Jim” R., Respiratory Therapist
Jim has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Cardiopulmonary and Allied Health Division of Aureus Medical Group. Jim is currently on his 10th assignment with Aureus Medical and has done over eight assignments alone at one facility. This is a testament to his work and overall passion to help this hospital out. This particular manager relies very heavily on Jim’s opinion and has helped to get many travelers into the facility, including many return travelers. He is a true asset to Aureus and we greatly appreciate all of his hard work.
Melba L., Technologist (Mammography)
Melba has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Diagnostic Imaging Division of Aureus Medical Group. Melba has been a truly significant part of the Aureus Medical family for the last 3 1/2 years and has worked five assignments. She works tirelessly at facilities and always goes the extra mile to make sure the client is happy while also ensuring the patient care delivered at our client facilities is always top notch. This includes adding duties to her list, coming in on days not scheduled, and being flexible with what the client needed. She is extended often. Melba truly exhibits the values that Aureus Medical strides for.
Kristen M., Histotechnician
Kristen has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Medical Laboratory Division of Aureus Medical Group. Kristen has a wonderful attitude and work ethic. She is excited to work in new environments and is a definite optimist. She takes advantage of each laboratory environment she works in and always tries to learn as much as possible about new equipment and procedures. She makes friends quickly with co-workers and other travelers and takes advantage of outside cultural and community activities when she is not working. According to her account manager, “Kristen is an exceptional worker whom I had the pleasure of meeting personally while visiting New York. I would recommend her for any future assignments.”
Patrick D., Surgical Technologist
Patrick has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Patrick has been with Aureus since 2006 and has completed 23 assignments! He has been asked to return to several assignments in Oregon, Michigan, Idaho, and New York. Comments from his evaluations include:
- Patrick has been an asset to our department. Staff and surgeons enjoy working with him and he works very independently. He is confident in his skills.

Frances L., RN (ICU)
Frances has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Frances started traveling with Aureus in 2011 and is now working on her 14th assignment. She is always asked to extend and her account manager has been asked a couple times by those hospitals if she was available again. Here’s an example to show how flexible she is with the hospitals: on this last assignment they wanted to make sure she was truly proficient in EPIC and made her take an online test that took about two hours. She did this test via webinar with the hospital after working a night shift. She also wanted a week off in between assignments but they needed her sooner so she ended one contract on Saturday and made it to the new assignment to start on a Tuesday! She makes it a point to introduce herself to others and make sure everyone knows her and she connects with them. She is a wonderful asset to our family.
Bethany D., Physical Therapist
Bethany has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Rehabilitation Therapy Division of Aureus Medical Group. Bethany is starting her ninth assignment with Aureus Medical and has worked several assignments that were six months or longer. She is an exceptional Physical Therapist and a great representative of Aureus Medical. She is a true professional and you could not ask for a better person to work with or clinician to have on staff. We are excited to recognize Bethany for her commitment to her patients and for all of her hard work over the years.
