Pack for the seasons one might encounter as a travel nurse

A travel nurse may encounter a variety of weather conditions due to the changing seasons. This can be especially difficult when inexperience leads her to be very unprepared.  A nurse raised in the southern half of the United States would be hard-pressed to deal with a winter snow storm.

However, if an assignment takes a travel nurse  to a location that experiences a vastly different climate and type of precipitation, she must pack accordingly. Getting caught in a snow storm without boots or living in a humid climate without light fabric clothing is never enjoyable. A nurse should research the location and the weather patterns associated with a region during the time she will be located there.

Detailed research will provide clues as to what attire and which items are appropriate to bring on an assignment. A travel nurse cannot bring her entire wardrobe on an assignment, so careful planning is required. She should leave some room for temperature and odd weather patterns to occur, but overall, a nurse may wish to be well-versed in a region's climate before packing for the assignment.
