For our second installment of travel nursing tips, we're going to talk about a few more secrets that first-year nurses often overlook.

To establish positive relationships with your colleagues, lend a hand to busy co-workers when you can, and be humble enough to accept assistance when you need it.

Next, find size-appropriate gloves, and place boxes of them in your patients' rooms at the start of your shift.

Before feeding patients, try this simple exercise: Slouch in a chair, put your head back and try to swallow. Then, draw your chin to your chest and try to swallow. In both positions, the task is difficult. When you feed patients with heads in these positions, aspiration could become problematic, so make sure your patients are upright in bed unless told otherwise.
