One of the strongest – yet little known – ways of effectively treating dizziness is with the assistance of people who hold physical therapy jobs, according to a published report.
Bill Peterson of Colorado was carrying wood through a forest and, minutes later, was overcome by a condition later diagnosed as vertigo, The Daily Camera reports. He said looking up and down was impossible, moving his head caused a spinning sensation and he had to count to 10 prior to moving after standing up.
Days later he struggled to walk to the offices of a physical therapist where he was treated in 10 minutes and three small adjustments. Rather than taking pills and repeat trips to the doctor's office or simply hoping the symptoms would dissipate, the physical therapist effectively treated his vertigo.
"I had no idea it was going to be that easy to remedy. No pills. No invasiveness of any kind. Just a little head adjustment," Peterson told the news source.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, physical therapy jobs are forecast to increase 39 percent during the 10-year period leading to 2020.
