Many times our recruiters are asked what makes a good traveler. While we could provide a laundry list of traits that make for a good traveler, we’ve narrowed it down to a few that we have seen in each of our employees.
1) Puts patient care first. They treat their patients with the utmost respect and always looks out for the best interests of their patients.
2) Understanding. Sometimes schedules change, paperwork is misplaced, and mix-ups happen. A good traveler knows that these things happen and is willing to work with their recruiter and the hospital to sort things out.
3) Flexible. All travelers have their “perfect” location where they would love to work. However, sometimes the timing doesn’t quite work out for an assignment. Being flexible about where you will travel makes a world of difference. And you might just discover a hidden gem in a location you weren’t expecting!
4) Friendly. Stepping into a new work environment every 13 weeks can be daunting. Being friendly with the staff can go a long ways in easing you into your new job.
5) Attitude. It can make all the difference! Your experience will be a direct result of your attitude!
