Want to kick off the new year on the right foot? Travel physical therapy and travel nursing professionals may want to keep these tricks in mind on New Year’s Eve and beyond.

Even during celebrations, moderation is key. Alcohol contains a lot of calories – about 7 calories per gram – which are metabolized straight to fat. When you add alcohol to mixers like soda or juice, the number of calories often doubles.

Consider limiting yourself to a drink or two on New Year’s Eve and festivities afterward. You could also use low-calorie mixers in your favorite drinks, drink diet soda instead of regular and add club soda to wine to add volume without the calories.
