Travelers have the advantage of ending contracts right before the holiday season. This allows them time off to go home, spend time with family and not think about work until after the first of the year. It’s one of the perks of being a traveler right? Not this year! The downturn in the economy has limited the once endless travel opportunities. If you are thinking about taking this time off and want to find an assignment starting January 1, remember you’re not the only one! The competition for job opportunities after January 1 is going to be tough. If you are at a place where you can extend, take advantage of it. You are guaranteeing yourself employment while everyone else will be fighting for jobs come January 1. You’ll continue to work and collect your paycheck. If your assignment ends within the next two months take advantage of the different opportunities that others are passing by!
