Aureus Medical is happy to announce its contract healthcare Travel Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!
Amy M., Respiratory Therapist
Amy has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Cardiopulmonary and Allied Health Division of Aureus Medical Group. Amy has recently started her 25th assignment with Aureus Medical and has been with Aureus since April 2008. She is a huge advocate for Aureus and is well-respected in the field. Many travel RTs look up to her for advice and support in many different situations. Her clinical skills are hard to compete with. Amy has been asked to return to many facilities because her easy-going personality makes her stand out. She is willing to go the extra mile for each hospital she works for to assist them whenever they are in need. This is her second Employee of the Quarter award, and she was also recognized for Employee of the Year in 2012. Amy is an absolute asset to Aureus Medical.
Melissa B., Sonographer
Melissa has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Diagnostic Imaging Division of Aureus Medical Group. Mel has been absolutely wonderful to work with for over two years. She has gone above and beyond, filling in on several short-term, critical needs in three different states and absolutely knocking it out of the park! First, she agreed to a short two-week position in rural New Hampshire in order to help a hospital have full-time ultrasound coverage when there was none. Then she agreed to a one-week long contract in Vermont to help out another client in desperate need. Between those two contracts we had an immediate, urgent opening in Maine that she agreed to work. To top it off, when she was done in Vermont, she then returned to Maine to complete three more weeks. Her flexibility, compassion, and willingness to jump in and hit the ground running helped serve hospitals and patients that may not have been seen if it wasn’t for her generosity. It would be a challenge to find a more dedicated traveler for Aureus Medical.
Chris H., Medical Laboratory Technician
Chris has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Medical Laboratory Division of Aureus Medical Group. He has a great attitude and has been nothing but enthusiastic throughout his tenure with Aureus. He received a great evaluation from his most recent assignment. Chris is always a pleasure to speak with and is a good guy in and out of the laboratory.
Peggy P., RN (ICU)
Peggy has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Peggy has worked with Aureus primarily since 2006. She has worked over 14,200 hours as of June 2017 and is currently completing her 25th assignment! She is a seasoned traveler that understands her role to “help” at facilities. All of her annual evals are 5s and her assignment evals say, “Peggy is a highly skilled low maintenance traveler for us.” She is a constant representation of the quality of candidates Aureus works with.
Ashley W., RN (Med-Surg)
Ashley has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Ashley has been working with Aureus consistently since September 2013. She was a young nurse with only a year and a half of experience when she joined Aureus and has stuck with us since. Throughout her time with Aureus she has proved in each assignment why she is such a great nurse by showing each facility her tremendous work ethic, extraordinary patient care, and loving personality. Ashley consistently extends on her assignments knowing she will be able to learn and grow as a nurse wherever she is and knows she is helping a hospital in need. She is timely on compliance, returning phone calls, and most importantly entering in online timecards. Ashely is definitely an asset to Aureus!
Matt O., Occupational Therapist
Matt has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Rehabilitation Therapy Division of Aureus Medical Group. Matt has been working as an Aureus traveler since April 2016. He has completed four successful assignments and is a pleasure to work with. He is helpful on his assignments and is always willing to talk with other travelers to assist with questions about the assignment or housing in the area. He has received glowing comments from his supervisors on his assignment evaluations, such as “Matt is a fantastic OT and the facility that is lucky to have him will be very fortunate,” and “Very responsible and reliable.” Matt also keeps everyone laughing which is very important!
