Healthcare employment is booming with the sector already having added nearly as many jobs through the first three-quarters of 2011 as it did in all of 2010.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the healthcare sector added 44,000 jobs this past month, bringing the total for the year up to 258,000, almost as much as the entire 2010 total of 263,400. In addition, the healthcare gains represented 42 percent of the entire nation’s employment growth.
