Medical staffing specialists understand that staying healthy is the name of the game. But you might be surprised to hear that to move up the ladder in your industry, looking lively plays a dominant role. According to a new Dutch study, in order to inspire confidence in others, it may be more important for potential leaders to appear healthy than to look intelligent.

For the research, nearly 150 adults were shown a series of two photos of faces and asked which one they would choose as new CEOs for companies. Overall, participants chose healthy-looking faces over more intelligent-looking faces 69 percent of the time.

The researchers suggested that aspiring leaders, in addition to working hard and putting in due time, should cultivate an in-shape, vital appearance.

This has been another travel nursing update, and as always, thanks for tuning in.
