Traveling from assignment to assignment across the country doesn’t leave a traveling nurse much time to allocate to paying bills or dropping off a paycheck for cashing. It gets trickier and trickier to stop by a branch of your local bank the farther you are from home and is essentially impossible if personal preferences demand the use of a local branch.
Travel nurses may wish to take the hassle out of bill paying and switch to a few online options geared to keep up with a busy lifestyle. Instead of changing addresses multiple times or having a friend or family member receive your mail, sign up for an online account. Signing up for online bill payments and notification through email may eliminate any miscommunication between you and the corporation.
Online banking allows for fund allocation regardless of anything other than internet access. Look for a bank that provides online banking, low or no monthly fees, access regardless of time, many ATMs or ATM fee reimbursement and strong online security.
A traveling nurse should not write a blank check with a signature and leave it laying around, so don’t virtually hand hackers or thieves the opportunity to use your online account access to rob you.
