A California man recently opened a business that specializes in continuing physical therapy services once insurance companies stop paying for the initial insurance coverage, according to a published report.
Steve Tysee kicked off the Redondo Beach company with people who fulfill physical therapy jobs quite simply because he got tired of seeing the same struggles that people just could not surmount, Easy Reader News reports. The majority of his clientele is baby boomers, many of whom are ill-prepared to exercise in a gym.
"The biggest frustration was seeing people come back a year later with the same issues," Tysee told the news source. "They just don't belong in the fitness world and don't know how to continue their exercise."
The specific issues that he repeatedly saw most was people suffering from damage to their knees, hips and backs. Mobility and balance also were prominent areas on which he aimed to improve clients' performance. In any case, his effort drives toward making their recovery lasting while prolonging their quality of life.
The baby boomer generation is demonstrating an inclination to remain active later in life than did previous generations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
