The bright side for travel nurses working holidays [VIDEO]

Transcript

Travel nursing professionals scheduled for shifts on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years should look at the glass half full. There are a couple of key perks that come with working the holidays.

First, you don't have to cook. The biggest hassle about the holidays is making a meal for guests and cleaning up afterward. However, some healthcare facilities go all out to make a delicious meal for patients, family members and staff. That means nurses get to dig in without the dirty work.

Second, working the holidays allows you to witness special moments between patients and family members. See hugs from grandkids, presents exchanged among loved ones and hopes set for the New Year. This time of year, you can catch a glimpse of how much your work really means.

As always, thanks for tuning in, and check back soon for more travel nursing news.
