Aureus Medical is happy to announce its travel healthcare Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!
Cheryl Stine, EEG Tech
Cheryl has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Cardiopulmonary and Allied Health Division of Aureus Medical Group. Cheryl started traveling with Aureus in 2013 and has completed 11 assignments. This month she will be returning to a facility for the third time. She is always asked to extend or return at a later date and many times has been offered full-time positions during her contract. Cheryl is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She is incredibly flexible and strives on each assignment to do the absolute best to represent herself, Aureus Medical, and the facility. Cheryl has received all 5s on every performance appraisal we have received and managers say she is “outstanding” and “her skills are excellent.” Her current account manager says, “She is the best traveler I have ever worked with.”
Linda Mathes, Echo Tech
Linda has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Imaging Division of Aureus Medical Group. Linda is currently working her 24th assignment with Aureus! She is also a previous Employee of the Quarter winner. She does a great job on every contract. All of her evaluations are wonderful and she goes above and beyond every day. She is respectful and flexible when it comes to her facility’s needs. Linda is an absolute joy to work with and an ideal representative for Aureus Medical.
Jerrilyn Sharp, MLT
Jerrilyn has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Medical Laboratory Division of Aureus Medical Group. Jerri is the epitome of a great traveler and always represents Aureus well while on assignment. She is flexible, independent, and goes the extra mile when it comes to her duties in the lab. She has been traveling with Aureus since 2013 and has received perfect performance evaluations from all of her assignments with us. Jerri is always more than willing to extend whenever she is asked and always puts the needs of the facility first. Her account manager said, “I have very much enjoyed working with Jerri and my client couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on board! We are lucky to have her!”
Sho Argueza, Physical Therapist
Sho has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Rehabilitation Therapy Division of Aureus Medical Group. Sho has worked for Aureus non-stop since January 2016. He has completed nine contracts over this period. He is always asked to extend and does. He just accepted his 10th contract with Aureus where he’ll be working in New Mexico through the remainder of 2020. Sho has a great personality that shows through both his communication with his account managers and with the staff and patients at the facility on a daily basis. Sho is always up for a challenge and looks forward to the adventures travel therapy throws at him. From the northeast to the southwest, Sho is onboard, ready to go, and always willing to help out.
William (Bill) Bankowski – RN (ICU)
William has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Bill has been with Aureus for 12 consecutive assignments. He receives awesome evals and is almost always offered an extension or invited back. Bill also receives unexpected recognition for going above and beyond. On his last assignment in Illinois we received a letter from the CEO singing his praises.
While in Arizona he worked with COVID-19 patients in the ICU during the changing PPE requirements and availability. Eventually all of the patients on his unit were on ventilators. He got the rest of the staff singing “At the Car Wash” as they bathed them. Bill always tries to make the best of every situation.
Besides being adored by his patients and the hospitals, we all love him too. Bill completes his compliance quickly, starts looking for his next assignment in advance, and always returns calls. He is the ideal traveler!
Angela Keith, RN (ER)
Angela has been awarded the honor of being one of the Employees of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Angie is amazing – there is no other way to put it. She’s been on contract with Aureus since January 2018 and she’s incredible. She is always responsive whenever anyone at Aureus reaches out and is the sweetest person to work with. On her first assignment with Aureus, she sent a thank you gift to both her recruiter and her account manager – totally unnecessary, but so kind and thoughtful of her!
Angie has received great reviews and appraisals and every account manager who has worked with her LOVES her. Currently, she’s on contract in Maryland and is constantly in the thick of all things COVID-19 related. But Angie doesn’t falter or fail. She works hard to make sure everyone on her unit is taken care of and always does it with a smile on her face. We know this because she sends pictures of herself and her coworkers weekly, all with smiles on their faces.
One of her recruiters, Lindsay, says, “Our relationship isn’t just recruiter and nurse. We are FRIENDS. In 2019 I was in a car accident and Angie called me immediately when she heard. She even checked up on me weekly to see how my concussion was healing and how I was feeling. She was an angel this past fall when I had the flu, was 13 weeks pregnant, and couldn’t get ahold of my own doctor. She also sent me a homemade baby blanket for our little boy due in May and checks in on me weekly.”
The woman is steady as a rock and is a big mama bear to everyone she comes into contact with. Angie embodies and demonstrates what Aureus travelers should be. She FEELS what it means to be a nurse and shows it with grace and dignity every single day.
I feel very honored to be nominated and am more surprised to have won. I love being a nurse and aureus has been a great company to work for. Lindsey You Rock
I have worked with Jerrilyn Sharp, MLT on several assignments; and while I don’t agree that being “willing to extend whenever she is asked” should be a requirement of being Employee of the Quarter, I do agree that Jerrilyn is a fantastic worker. She truly deserves the kudos. She is always doing more than asked and is a pleasure to work with. Congratulations Jerri!
