LPNs: Preparing For a Travel Healthcare Career

Take your career as an LPN in an exciting new direction. Travel the country coast to coast with healthcare staffing agency Aureus Medical. We have some tips to get you started.

As a travel LPN you�ll work in facilities on a contract basis, generally for 8-13 weeks. Assignments may be in a long term care, rehab, or hospital setting. We take care of your travel, arrange for your housing, and provide a comprehensive benefits package.

You�ll be assigned to a recruiter who will walk you through the application process and our requirements. You�ll also share your preferences in location, setting, shift and other considerations.

In order to travel with us you must have:

• One year of experience in a healthcare facility plus the most recent six months in a hospital or long term care setting.
• CPR/BLS certification through the American Hospital Association or be signed up for a course. We�ll reimburse you for the cost of the test if you haven�t taken it already.
• Phone references from two different managers.

You will also be required to take a comp test focused on equal parts skills and medications.
